Blessed Mother appeared during the 2nd Luminous Mystery, and she wanted to thank us, each and every one of you for coming here to pray the holy Rosary with her. And then she added, she wanted to thank you, all of us, for our prayers and all that we do for the kingdom of heaven, but she said, she added, there is much more that we still need to do. She is speaking about, for the kingdom of heaven, and so she said, to listen to Jesus' words that he gives us in the gospel of Matthew, Chapter 6, and it's all about preparing for Lent, and for the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 6: Teaching About Almsgiving. Take care not to perform righteous deeds in order that people may see them; otherwise, you will have no recompense from your heavenly Father. When you give alms, do not blow a trumpet before you, as hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets to win the praise of others. Amen, I say to you, they shall receive their reward. But when you give alms, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your almsgiving may be secret. And your Father who sees in secret will repay you. Teaching about Prayer: When you pray, do not be like hypocrites, who love to stand and pray in the synagogues and on street corners so that others may see them. Amen, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you pray, go to your inner room, close the door, and pray to your Father in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will repay you. In praying, do not babble like pagans, who think that they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them. Your Father knows what you need before you even ask him. The Lord's Prayer: This is how you are to pray: Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and do not subject us to the final test, but deliver us from the evil one. If you forgive their transgressions, your heavenly Father will forgive you. But if you do not forgive others, neither will your heavenly Father forgive your transgressions. Teaching About Fasting: When you fast, do not look gloomy like the hypocrites. They neglect their appearance, so that they may appear to others to be fasting. Amen, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, so that you may not appear to others to be fasting, except to your Father who is hidden. And your Father who sees what is hidden will repay you. Treasure in Heaven: Do not store up treasures for yourselves or treasures on earth, where moth and decay can destroy them, and thieves can break in and steal. But store up treasure in heaven where neither moth nor decay can destroy, nor thieves can break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there also will be your heart. The Light of the Body: The lamp of the body is the eye. If your eye is sound, your whole body will be filled with light; but if your eye is bad, your whole body will be in darkness. And if the light in you is darkness, how great will the darkness be. God and Money: No one can serve two masters. He will either hate one and love the other, or be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money. Dependence on God: Therefore, I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink, or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food and body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the sky; they do not sow or reap, they gather nothing into their barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not more important than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single moment to your life-span? Why are you anxious about clothes? Learn from the way the wild flowers grow. They do not work or spin. But I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was clothed like one of them. If God so clothes the grass of the field, which grows today and is thrown into the oven tomorrow, will he not much more provide for you, O you of little faith? So do not worry and say, 'What are we to eat?' Or 'what are we to drink? Or What we are to wear?' All of these things the pagans seek. Your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you besides. Do not worry about tomorrow; tomorrow will take care of itself. Sufficient for the day is its own evil. The Blessed Mother had a few reminders and one of them was about fasting, and as you recall in the past, she teaches us that fasting strengthens the soul, and the same way as an athlete would train for a certain event, and prepare themselves for that, it is no different than fasting prepares our soul, and strengthens our soul against evil, and so that we may do all that the gospel of Matthew teaches us, when Jesus speaks to us. The Our Father, the Blessed Mother says, is a definition of the holy sacrifice of the Mass, because in the beginning of Mass, we pray, In the Name of the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit, and we are calling God, Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, holy is God's name, and thy kingdom come, and thy will be done, in the holy sacrifice of the Mass, the very same thing is being done here on earth, as it is in heaven, because heaven comes down to the holy sacrifice of the Mass when we are present, and Blessed Mother wants us to remind us that while we are in Mass, we are in heaven with Our Lord Jesus Christ, the Blessed Mother, the Apostles, all the heavenly hosts of angels and saints, and we are present with them and they are present with us, and give us this day, our daily bread, we have the opportunity each and every day to receive that daily bread from heaven, the manna that comes down from heaven, which is the Body and Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ, and we have that opportunity to do that on a daily basis. And as the Blessed Mother points out, Jesus, pointed out, we are to forgive one another as God would forgive us, because if we do not forgive, our heavenly Father will not forgive us. The measure in which you give, is the measure that God gives back, and the golden rule is, do to others what you would have them do to you. This is the message of Our Lady today, to use this in our Lenten season, and to prepare ourselves for the kingdom of God, here on earth, as it is in heaven. Now the Blessed Mother said she is going to give you a blessing, and she says, as the sun shines its rays down upon you and you feel the warmth from the sun today, she said so will Our Heavenly Father send his grace, his rays of love and his warmth down upon each and every one of us. (Blessed Mother imparted her blessing on those present.) Blessed Mother said, if you choose to, you may take pictures of the sun and the surrounding area and she will bless you with some gifts. On Jesus and Mary's behalf, I want to thank each and every one of you for coming here to pray the most holy Rosary with her, and she very much appreciates that. When she speaks and gives her thanks to us, it is a very sweet voice, and if you knew just how much she appreciates it, you would cry for joy because it comes through her Immaculate Heart when she gives her thanks and everything that she does. She truly touches each and every one of us in a very personal way. So, on behalf of Jesus and Mary, may the blessing of Almighty God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit descend upon each and every one of you. May God bless each and every one of you. (Immaculate Mary was sung as the crowd prepared to leave.) NG/ct NOTE: Next month, April 13, 2025 is on Palm Sunday. If the weather is nice, prayer will be down at the Grotto, starting 9:00 a.m. If weather is inclement, prayer will be in church, starting 8:00 a.m. There is an 11:00 Mass for those who would like to attend Mass.
